SHIPPING POLICY

Last updated: September 14, 2026

At Derich Gallery, we take shipping seriously.

Our artwork is physical, three-dimensional, and often contains glass and real objects, so each shipment is prepared with care based on the size, weight, and construction of the piece.

This Shipping Policy explains how processing, delivery, damaged shipments, missing packages, and international orders are handled.

1. Processing Time

Most standard orders are prepared for shipment within approximately 1–3 business days.

Larger, handmade, custom, personalized, or commissioned artworks may require additional production and preparation time.

Processing times are estimates and may vary depending on the artwork, order volume, materials, or other circumstances.

If an order requires significantly more time than expected, we will make a reasonable effort to keep you informed.

2. Shipping Methods & Delivery Estimates

Available shipping methods and estimated delivery times are shown at checkout when available.

Shipping options may vary depending on:

  • destination;
  • artwork size;
  • package dimensions;
  • weight;
  • carrier availability.

Delivery estimates provided at checkout or by the carrier are estimates only and are not guaranteed delivery dates.

Carrier delays, weather, holidays, customs, transportation disruptions, or other events outside our reasonable control may affect delivery.

3. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated based on the destination, package size, weight, and selected delivery method.

The final available shipping options and charges will be displayed at checkout.

If Free Shipping is offered for a particular order or promotion, the shipping cost may be covered by Derich Gallery subject to the terms displayed at checkout.

4. Packaging

Our artworks come in different sizes, weights, materials, and constructions, so packaging methods vary depending on the specific shipment.

Depending on the artwork, we may use different combinations of:

  • protective wrapping;
  • cushioning materials;
  • foam protection;
  • corner protection;
  • rigid reinforcement;
  • heavy-duty shipping boxes;
  • additional protective materials when necessary.

Larger or heavier artworks may require additional reinforcement.

Our goal is to use packaging appropriate for the size and construction of the artwork being shipped.

5. Artwork Arrives Damaged or Broken

If your artwork arrives damaged, cracked, broken, or defective, please contact us as soon as possible at:

info@derichgallery.com

Please include:

  • your order number;
  • clear photos of the artwork;
  • photos of the damaged area;
  • photos of the shipping packaging.

Once we review and confirm the issue, we will arrange an appropriate resolution at no additional cost to you for confirmed shipping damage.

Depending on the situation, this may include:

  • a replacement;
  • a repair;
  • a correction;
  • a refund;
  • another reasonable solution.

If the damaged artwork needs to be returned, we will provide return instructions and, where applicable, an appropriate prepaid return method.

You will not be charged for confirmed damage that occurred before or during delivery.

6. Package Marked “Delivered” but Not Received

If tracking shows that your package was Delivered, but you cannot locate it, please contact the shipping carrier as soon as possible.

We also recommend checking:

  • the delivery location;
  • other members of your household;
  • neighbors;
  • front desk, concierge, reception, or building management;
  • any alternate delivery location shown in the tracking information.

The carrier may have additional information such as a delivery photo, scan, location details, or driver notes.

You may also contact us.

We will provide any tracking details or shipping documentation reasonably available to us and help guide you through the carrier investigation.

However, when carrier records show that a shipment was delivered to the address provided at checkout, a replacement or refund is not automatically issued solely because the package cannot later be located.

We may require the carrier to investigate the delivery before determining the appropriate resolution.

If the carrier confirms that the shipment was lost, misdelivered, or otherwise not properly delivered, we will review the situation and determine the appropriate next step.

7. Incorrect or Incomplete Shipping Address

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout.

Please review your shipping information carefully before placing your order.

If an order cannot be delivered because the customer provided an incorrect or incomplete address, additional shipping charges may apply to resend the package.

If the package is returned to Derich Gallery and the customer chooses not to have it reshipped, any eligible refund may be reduced by shipping costs or other non-refundable expenses associated with the failed delivery, where permitted by law.

8. International Shipping, Customs & Import Restrictions

International customers are responsible for confirming that the artwork they order can legally be imported into their country.

Some artworks may contain replica objects, currency, or other physical components that may be restricted by local customs or import laws.

Derich Gallery cannot guarantee customs clearance outside the United States.

International customers may be responsible for:

  • customs duties;
  • import taxes;
  • brokerage fees;
  • local taxes;
  • permits;
  • other import-related charges or requirements.

These costs are generally not included in the product price or shipping charge unless clearly stated otherwise at checkout.

If customs rejects a shipment and the artwork is returned to us, the eligible product price may be refunded after the artwork is received and inspected.

Unless otherwise required by applicable law, the following are non-refundable:

  • original shipping charges;
  • return shipping charges;
  • customs fees;
  • duties;
  • taxes;
  • brokerage fees;
  • other import-related expenses.

9. Order Changes & Cancellations

If you need to change or cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible at:

info@derichgallery.com

If production has not begun and the order has not shipped, we will do our best to accommodate the request.

Once an order has shipped, the shipping address or contents generally cannot be changed.

Standard non-custom artwork may still be eligible for return after delivery according to our Returns & Guarantee Policy.

Custom, personalized, and commissioned artwork may no longer be cancellable once production has begun.

10. Returns

Returns and refunds are governed by our Returns & Guarantee Policy.

Standard non-custom artwork may generally be returned within 30 days of delivery, subject to the conditions described in that policy.

Special shipping-cost rules apply to eligible change-of-mind returns of standard artworks priced at $900 or more.

Custom, personalized, and commissioned artworks are Final Sale for change-of-mind returns, while remaining protected against confirmed shipping damage, defects, and errors on our side.
